Thanks for describing this mask. This whole period of #metoo history is helping us all see the masks that have been hidden from us in plain sight. For women, it’s revealing the mask of “this is just what happens to us people with female body parts and if we ignore it, it will go away, and we won’t draw unwanted (and unsafe) attention to ourselves”.

Until men start seeing their masks too (in addition to the lacrosse-club mask, the ones that say “women actually like this” and “hey, it’s just locker room talk”), we’ll all be stuck in the he-said-she-said lies of sexual relations.
